Causes and Types of Tooth Pain
If you have tooth pain, it can be described as either dull or sharp. Sharp pain is often caused by a cavity or related issues like a loose filling, broken tooth, or bruxism. Dull pain-which tends to get way more intense -- may actually be more serious, like impacted wisdom teeth. It can be caused by nerve damage which typically requires a root canal to repair. Whether sharp or dull tooth pain, you should seek treatment so you don’t have to worry about the stress and cost of more extensive dental work down the road.
